Lime Tree

Uses

Flowers are dried and used to make “Linden tea. ”Honey from the flowers is great flavour. Wood is easy to carve and used for many purposes.

Inner bark used for weaving together to make strong matting. Sap makes a syrup (like maple syrup). Young leaves are edible- eaten raw with stalks removed ( in salads or sandwiches). Mature leaves eaten by cattle .
